Yamaha R1 2009 HeadLamps
The all new Yamaha R1 2009 uses projector style headlamps same as you find in the high performance European automobiles. The headlamps is designed to reduce unnecessary glare to oncoming motorists. This is extremely compact design unit also allows greater flexibility enabling the R1 designers to neatly incorporate the forced air intake into the framework of the head light assembly. This is to enhance both aggressive and business appearance. A forced air intake system is adopted to increase the intake efficiency by using the natural airflow during riding to pressurize the air in air cleaner box. This contributes to outstanding power delivery characteristics in the high speed range. This design also helps to minimize intake noise.

The twin projectors lamps are something new, with an eye lid type feature to open and semi close defining both high and low beams. I’m looking for technical data on these lamps, diameter and manufacturer. I would also like to see them, when are these bikes in Michigan showrooms?
